This litter bred for great hunters, marking and looks with Sire Candlewoods Atti's Sun DuBay, JH, SH OFA# 160726 EX, EL 31375 Eyes cerfed CNM Negative. DuBay's dam has produced a dog with all age points and her pedigree goes back to Harley and Honcho. Pups expected to be very handsome, some may be lighter, suitable for hunting, hunt test, companions. DuBay is a big solid boy going 90#. Dubay is a hunting dog and finished running Junior 4 for 4 last year and senior HT this year, going is 4 for 4 senior. He loves the birds! These pups will have more than enough talent. Stella, is a trained pheasant dog, an outstanding marker with an ultra sweet disposition and a well built 68#. These pups should make excellent hunting companions as well as HT competitors. Stellas sister Crosswind's Sophie is QAA and has All-Age points.

October 2007: Chili just gets better and better on waterfowl every year. If a person could clone her hunting ability they would be a millionaire! The best way to describe her hunting style is " methodical". She never gets wound up during a hunt, is low key and when a bird is down she just goes to work. I hunted geese opening day in WI this year. It was warm and too early and the geese just weren't flying yet. She sat in the field motionless for 5 hours straight. Never got up to run, never barked, and just sat and looked at the sky for birds. She did lay down and took a nap for about 20 minutes and that was it. One of the guys I was hunting with actually forgot we had a dog with us. I know she has been well trained but that kind of ability can't be taught. We love her sooo much as a pet. She really is part of the family.

Preparing for your puppy and taking the puppy home
Important information about what to look for in a puppy, PLEASE READ even if you are just looking
Maggie as a puppy
I prefer to sell to homes that do not intend to breed. I will make an exception on an individual basis.
For precautionary reasons I no longer allow viewing of puppies before their 1st vaccinations. There are pictures on the nursery page. The pups are going to change dramatically anyway by the time they are ready. This is being done to protect the health of the puppies, whether people are visiting other kennels or not.
Pups are picked in order deposit is received at the pick-up date so you will not know "which one" is available.
Pups are born in a whelping box in my computer-TV room so I can keep an eye on them. When they are being weaned they go to an intermediate area in the basement with a living space and separate potty area and then they are brought outside for outings or play depending on the weather. Some litters are whelped at the homes of the females' families. Pups are home raised, dewormed, vet checked, dews claws removed, first vaccination, well socialized, exposed to feathers, introduced to crates, and microchipped
Limited registration is $50 less than the Full prices. The $50 discount is so that you can use it towards your spay or neuter, if you are not planning on breeding. You may still enter any AKC event except the conformation show ring: that means obedience, agility, hunt test etc. Limited registration can still be converted to full with Hip OFA, elbows and CERF at 2 years old plus the $50.

During the winter, November-March, I may, at any time, refuse to ship by air unless the buyer flies to Milwaukee and accepts the puppy as a carry-on. This is for the safety of the puppies and because of more frequent cancellations of flights. You must be flexible on the day of shipping by a direct flight.

Deposits are nonrefundable but may be applied to one other litter; however, I consider the purchase of a dog or puppy to be an adoption. I reserve the right to refuse the sale of a dog or puppy or will return a deposit to any person for any reason including misrepresentation, inappropriate home, or an impaired working relationship between the seller and buyer. Refund will be within 30 days for those reasons only. Although I will try to find the puppy that is a fit for your family, no breeder can make a designer puppy and this is not a store mall. You are adopting one of my babies, and if you don't agree with how I do things, you need to look for another breeder you are comfortable with and agree.
