Ozzy
5 months.We bought a
black male out of the Missy/Rico
litter. Anyway he is doing great. He is working on longer and
blind retrieves, loves everyone(as well as everyone loves him), and
is heeling. He is for the most part good in the house(puppy
stuff), he was no problem to house break or crate train, he loves
traveling and goes almost everywhere with us(excellent
socialization). Our only problem is he doesn't realize how big
he is!!! He tries to sleep in laundry basket in which he no
longer fits!! And sometimes gets a little to rambunctious around
little people. As far as his size well..., he just turnred 5mo.
on March 17th, and he is pushing 55lbs. He stands 22" high
at the middle of his back. His feet are 3" across in a
resting position. AND HE IS NOT AT ALL FAT!!
I just wanted to give you a little update on "Bailey." (Missy/Rico).Her AKC name is Baileys Night At Erinsedge (pending). And at 8 months of age she is already over 50 pounds, and is giving my 5 year-old buckskin stallion competition in muscle tone. She was playing fetch by 10 weeks of age! She is already turning into a great hunt dog, and she hasn't even been in the field or training yet. She is already going on both seen and blind retrieves with dummies and is whistle trained for sit, stop, and here, not to mention her other tricks. Ryan and I are very happy with her, and can't wait too see what she'll do in the field.

Hi,We
last e-mailed you in 2003. We purchased Rex from you in 2000 (Kita/Goose).
He is now a big 5 years old!!! He is still such a joy to have
with us and continues to be obsessed with retrieving but he is a lot
of fun. Ryan deloyed to Iraq last August and was gone for 8
months and Rex was totally the protector in the house. I was
also 7 months pregnant with our first little boy when Ryan left and
Rex knew exactly what was going on. He behaved (until daddy
came back home)like a good boy and followed me everywhere. He
is great with the baby who is now 6 months old and just likes to lick
him all over any chance he gets. I have attached a recent
picture of Rex in the middle of a 8 foot snow storm in Southern
California. This area had not seen any snow in about 26
years!!! But Rex was out all morning playing in the snow. He
loved it. He's awesome. Thank you for such a great friend
andfamily member. I couldn't of made it through a deployment and
pregnancy all alone without him.

I
wanted to let you know Pepper is doing great and wanted to give you
an updated photo taken 4/21/05. Pepper was whelped 3-13-04 Rooster/Katy.
As I told you before Pepper has the perfect temperament for my
family & me. She is super with the kids, she lets them sit, play
and crawl on her and does not make a peep. I am working with pepper
on long retrieving right now and her marking skills are excellent.
She is retrieving to hand and has a great nose. Thanks for the great
dog! Rooster won the
Open in mid-Iowa 5-14 making his FC and also took a 3rd in the
amateur, 2 points away from his AFC. Repeat breeding planned in Fall.

We
just wanted to send you a few pictures of Buckeye (Maddy/Rico)
from his 1st birthday.
He's doing really well, and although he can still be a bit
mischevieous particularly around dinner time hes
certainly endearing at the same time. We tried to get him to
swim last summer but he didnt want any part of it. This
year, however, he loves it, and while hes content to hang out
and watch tv with us, he also loves being off leash chasing balls and
sticks (and of course birds). We hope all is well with you.
Thanks again for a wonderful dog!

Hi
Nancy, just an update on the pup I bought from you last year (Ben/Diva).
You asked me to write this hunting season and let you know how she
was doing. Well, as you already know, after a tough puppyhood... she
was a pistol...wild and a handfull, not one for the faint of heart. A
little training with a firm hand and now she is about as nice a Lab
as there could be. Retreving is as good as it gets and she is
learning the tricks of the trade (birds) from Tootsie, 14 years young
and still hunting hard. The pup, Sage, (left in the pic), has an
excellent nose and is without a doubt the easiest dog to handle in
the field that I've ever owned, - Flawless- response to the whistle
and hand signals...just a pleasure to hunt. Training collar is not
needed. I don't know how the other pups from that breeding
turned out, but this one, after a difficult begining has turned into
an exceptional house dog and family companion. Her! e is
a picture of my son Luke and the dogs on a hunt a few weeks ago. George
